Luther has creeped into the Castro District evicting people living with AIDS from their rent controlled home through a city loop-hole called the Ellis Act. Gay Shame tells the tale of how the real estate industry has bought the voice of the gay and lesbian communty by offering token donations to their community organizations meanwhile ousting and exploiting people living with AIDS. Shame, Shame, what a shame. Now is the call to find out what happened to that 600 million dollars raised by the community in AIDS rides, walks, etc. Where is the housing for people living with AIDS? 20 years into an epidemic we still have no plan for housing people living with AIDS.
