SES London 2011 Keynote Speaker Jeffrey Hayzlett Gives "the 118" for Search and Social Marketing

Jeffrey Hayzlett, the author of "The Mirror Test: Is Your Business Really Breathing?", was the keynote speaker at SES London, which was held at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre on Tuesday, 22 February, 2011. And Mike Grehan, Global Vice President of Content for SES, Search Engine Watch, and ClickZ interviewed Hayzlette following his keynote.
Hayzlett and Grehan discuss "the 118" -- or elevator pitch -- for search and social marketing.

They also talk about Hayzlett's cowboy boots. Hayzlett is a cowboy -- literally: A South Dakota native who always wears cowboy boots and still has a little house on the prairie.

Hayzlett has also served as the Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Eastman Kodak Company. As CMO, Mr. Hayzlett was responsible for the company's worldwide marketing operations including the design and implementation of all marketing strategies, investments, policies, and processes. He led the company's efforts for Strategy and Planning, Marketing Programs, Marketing Network Operations, Brand Development and Management, Business Development, and Corporate Sponsorships. He was also responsible for the company's Corporate Communications, Public Relations and Public Affairs organizations. Kodak's Board of Directors elected him a corporate vice president in October 2007.

Hayzlett speaks frequently around the world on business growth, communications, and marketing, including keynotes at events such as SES San Francisco 2010, SES Chicago 2010, and The Economist Marketing Summit. He is cited as a leading marketing expert in numerous books, magazines, and newspapers worldwide, and is a frequent television guest and commentator, having appeared on shows including CNBC's The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch, Fox Business News, and NBC's Celebrity Apprentice with Donald Trump.

Hayzlett is known as the "Celebrity CMO" for his work at Kodak. In addition, his countless media appearances and social media skills have made him one of the top C-level executive Twitterers in the world. (His Twitter handle is @jeffreyhayzlett.)

A much sought-after speaker, Hayzlett was named "Business to Business Marketer of the Year" by B2B Magazine in 2009 and has received numerous business awards and honors.

PI09 Machinima Episode #5: The Way We Get By and Gita Pullapilly

The movie "The Way We Get By" deals with a lot of large issues, aging in America, military service, but manages to succeed as an intimate portrait of a group of senior citizens in Bangor Maine, who dedicate their lives to greet homecoming troops. Second Life reporter Draxtor Despres welcomes producer Gita Pullapilly to the virtual BAVC studio.

Every year, SF based Bay Area Video Coalition brings filmmakers together with technologists to develop new media strategies for their projects at the annual Producer's Institute. [more about BAVC PI 2009 at http://www.bavc.org/producersinstitute ]
