My Country - 06-07-07 - Latinos for America call for U.S. AG to be impeached
June 07, 2007 - San Francisco - Latinos for America grassroots leaders called for Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to be impeached during an appearance on 'My Country', a program on San Francisco cable access that aired on Thursday. LFA executive director, Ralph Miller, and Dr. Norma Armon expressed doubts and alarm about Gonzales' qualifications, decision-making, and honesty. They also cited harm to the Nation in calling for other Hispanic leaders to abandon support for the embattled Attorney General as majority Democrats in the Senate are trying to force Republicans to go on the record about whether the Attorney General should keep his job by calling for a vote on a symbolic resolution expressing no confidence in Gonzales. The show features discussion about the campaign to impeach promoted by Democracy for America on a petition website at ImpeachGonzales.org as well as two short videos by Robert Greenwald concerning Gonzales testimony before Congressional hearings about the firing of nine U.S. Attorneys.
